Derek's Recovery

We are starting this page to help take the financial burden from Derek’s wife, Linda.  On Tuesday, June 5th at approximately 7:30pm, Derek suffered a massive heart attack in his home.  After about 40 minutes, EMS along with the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital were able to get a pulse, which meant he was stable enough to be transported to Froedtert Medical Center.  There he underwent immediate procedures to find the source of the attack.  An artery on the front side of Derek’s heart was completely blocked, which most times has a fatal outcome.   The doctors all say it is a miracle that he survived.  A debt of gratitude is owed to the West Bend Police Department and West Bend EMS for all they did for Derek before he arrived at the hospital.  Thank you to everyone for your past and continued prayers.  

 As some of you may know, the recovery and rehabilitation process after any traumatic medical event can be long.  At a time like this, it is important for Linda to focus on Derek’s recovery, without the fear of the financial burdens that lie ahead.  Derek will be unable to work for some time and their medical costs are going to be significant.  We are asking for donations in any amount.  No donation is too small because if we pull together a little bit can make a big difference.
