The love story of Mary Kate and Michael Green may have started with a short courtship, but their unconditional love prevailed, as this beautiful couple just celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. Their life has been dedicated to each other, their family, especially their daughters Stefanie and Jennifer and always caring for others.
Sadly, this past year, Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia. This type of dementia is quite aggressive. Michael has been unable to work since 2018. While Michael's condition quickly progresses, so does the need for constant care. Visiting nurses are required to care for Michael while Mary Kate is at SMS. This is the only option, to allow Mary Kate to continue to work.
For many of us, Mrs. Green was the first person to teach our children. She is the consummate "6 year old" who has dedicated her life to Catholic Education and caring for our children. At some of our most difficult days, leaving our little ones behind, Mrs. Green cared for our children and in turn cared for us. She needs us to care for her now.
Our dear friends needs us. Mary Kate and Michael needs prayers for strength and faith. They need to know they are not alone and they are in need of financial support. The children at SMS are Mrs. Green's salvation, especially now. Please consider making a thoughtful gift for this loving family as they face this most difficult time.
