Hi, my name is Aaron. And to be honest, I'm very hesitant to write this. Asking for help and being vulnerable isn't easy, especially when you feel like you will be judged for it. It has blown up in my face before. But this is my last resort.
If you know me or follow me on social media, then you probably already know about the life-changing car accident I was in back in May; one that threw me 20-30 feet through the windshield of a tumbling car. It was a miracle I survived..
Many of you have followed my healing and rehab journey, and I’m deeply grateful for the support. But I wanted to share a bit more about what life has looked like since the accident; and why I’ve created this GoFundMe.
Both of my legs were broken. I needed major reconstructive surgery on my left tibia and right knee. Since then, I’ve been living in a rehab facility full-time, working harder than I ever have just to learn how to walk again. In late June (nearly two months after the crash), I stood on my own for the first time. It was painful, but powerful. I’m still recovering, still pushing, still healing.
What many people don’t know is that I lost my job and my apartment due to the accident. I haven’t had any income since May. Now, almost four months later, I’m about to be discharged from rehab (still only about 60% healed) with nowhere to go, no vehicle, no way to pay medical bills, and very little support. I’m trying to stay hopeful, but the truth is, it’s hard..
I’m not asking for a handout. I’m not even asking for money. But if you feel it in your heart to help in any way (whether it’s through a donation, a share, information about a cheap vehicle, or even a word of encouragement), it would mean more than I can express..
Either way, thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate ALL of you, and am grateful for my second chance at life.

P.S. - Roscoe is safe, and i hope to be reunited with him again soon..
