Help Daisy Walk Again: Support Her Recovery
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Brenda and today I am raising money for the recovery and therapy of my dog Daisy. This past weekend she was diagnosed with stage 5 IVDD and had an emergency surgery for her spine. Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) is a spinal condition in dogs that occurs when the discs between the vertebrae in the spine degenerate. Due to this, Daisy has lost all sensation in her back legs/lower back and as of right now she is paralyzed. This condition is very common in dachshunds, however Daisy was affected by it abruptly with almost no symptoms or signs.
Although she had the emergency surgery, we still have a long recovery ahead of us with lots of therapy to regain her mobility. This unfortunate situation came very unexpectedly. We are asking for your help and support for her physical therapy and recovery supplies. Those of you that have met her know that she is a very happy and social dog. I pray that with time she’ll be able to walk again. Thank you so much for your support in advance! Frank, Brenda & Daisy.
