My sweet cousin Karen and her family have been fighting breast cancer for 7 years, she was diagnosed at the age of 29. Despite the pain, nausea, and exhaustion, she stays active with her family, continues her career as a Registered Nurse, and keeps a smile on her face.

The middle of May 2023 brought a new diagnosis of Leptomeningeal Disease, which is cancer of the fluid and membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Though we are praying for a cure, life expectancy is 3-6 months.

Through out this cancer journey Brant and Karen have never asked for financial assistance and were reluctant to allow this page to be set up. Though it is heart breaking to face, they are forced to make big decisions. Karen doesn't have much life insurance and the loss of her Nursing income will make a big impact on the family's finances.
