On January 21, 2015 a 5-alarm fire destroyed a 4-story apartment complex in Edgewater, NJ known as the Avalon. It was home to over 500 families, including our coworker, James Porrazzo, from BMW Tenafly. James’s apartment building was engulfed in flames and his family lost their home. James, his wife, and 3 daughters are okay, but nothing is salvageable. Unfortunately, this is the second time James is going through this; he lost his home during Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
