The reason why I decided to do GoFundMe is that my life has become a nightmare and I really want to get my life back on track,

My home of 20 years was lost when my mother died.  She had been ill and I was her live in caretaker.  The toll of caring for someone you love while watching them die is still something I struggle with today. I was raised by a woman with integrity, who taught me to be kind-hearted towards others and to show compassion.  Because of her I was instilled with values, that have caused me to always be helpful to others in need. I do not like to see anyone suffer.

I became homeless in December of 2020. I was scared and felt lost and decided to buy a used RV.  The one I purchased had been stored for 15 years. It was the best option at the time, but I really had no idea what I was in store for. I didn't know about the maintenence involved or what was required to actually live in one.

I had some friends in the same situation.  They were nearby, on Venice blvd. so I parked close to them to get some guidance and also for protection.  At the time I was unaware that the area was home to 3 street gangs and a sizeable homeless community. 

I was very out of place in my new environment and a lot of bad things happened to me during this time.

My catalytic converter was taken from my Prius, (the car I used for working), I was burglarized several times, I've been threatened, became a victim of violence, and suffered sexual assault.  My property has been stolen, my vehicles were vandalized and someone actually spray painted the side of my home. I have suffered fake friends, liars and cheats.  Ive been conned and taken advantage of by those who were supposed to be close. Criminal activity and gang members are daily occurances. Drug abuse and alcoholism is everywhere while mental illness plagues many. Strange people approach my RV at all hours of the night and there are many sexual predators with at least one serial rapist known amongst the locals.   It was getting extremely dangerous, and after several bad encounters I was in fear of my life. Luckily a friend helped me move to a better place but the danger is still close by.

I am very honest person and I plan to use the money for the RV`s registration and also for much needed repairs.  ALSO,  I am in danger of losing my storage unit which contains everything I've ever acquired in life. I took care of my mother who suffered from dementia for 8 years which was a huge financial cost.   I have nothing left and I'm having a hard time getting back on my feet.  I appreciate anything you are able to contribute.
