Laurie Yocum's Bereavement Fund

On March 7th, 2016 Laurie tragically lost the most important man in her life, her father, Bob. I am Heather, Laurie’s good friend and confidant. All of her family is in California which is why I am starting this go fund me account so that others too have an opportunity to bless Laurie with her travel expenses. As many of you know, Laurie has dedicated her life to teaching and enriching the lives of elementary age children and their family in a private Christian environment. She made the conscious choice a long time ago to serve others over wages, just as her father did. Her father is retired from the Los Angeles Police Department and gave his life serving others. Laurie is his only daughter, you can imagine how special their bond was and how devastating this is for her and her family. It is very important that Laurie fly home to be with family for however long she needs. Laurie's immediate family include her three brothers (John, Michael & Andrew), two sisters in law (Rosy & Muriel), her mother (Effie) and four nephews (Matthew, Daniel, Eric & Jason.)
The sooner the goal of $3k is met, the sooner the relief will be to her.
