Help keep our studio alive

Dearest Yoga House Community,

We are heavy hearted to inform you that Yoga House is on the verge of closing its doors.

In the spirit of Gathering and Giving :
We are brought to this conclusion,

It takes a village.

It take a community to raise up a collective.

It takes a group effort to keep spirit alive.

If we want to go fast then we go alone, if we want to go far then we go together.

In the world of yoga, The word Yoga Translates to Union, to yoke, to bring together, and while this individualized practice is so impactful for bringing union within, a shala and yoga space has the power of bringing those in our community together in a powerful union that only helps to empower our journey within.

Our mission at Yoga House is the be a lighthouse of hope during this time of transition after the world vastly shifted over night. When we took over our mission was to keep the sacred teachings of yoga accessible for all and most importantly our goal was to keep the studio alive in the crucial time as it the was in the verge of closing back in 2020.

While we have stayed true to our mission, In these short years of holding the light and the space of Yoga House during and after the pandemic we have remained an essential resource for our community. Through this time we have come to realize that if we want to go far with our mission, we need to go together. Its taken much realization and and effort to come to this place.

As we are faced with Yoga House on the verge of closing its doors again, so we reach out. We took over the studio originally back in August of 2020 to keep this space open and alive. As a young family with a brand new infant we sacrificed a lot to be the beckon of light for those around us. In the eye of the yogic path perhaps we did our “seva” our service for our community and at any rate we did the best we could with what we had. During this time we have experienced immense changes from loss, to unforeseen challenges / changes. However we started out with a mission to set an example for our children, to give them a community of connection love and compassion, to give our family and everyone we love the village we all deserve.

In that time we have gifted yoga to many, hosted free meditations, many classes and courses, our teachers in this community have gifted so much as well in their efforts and gifts, collectively holding a safe space. We could never do it alone and we are so grateful foe the community we have. We have brought the light of children and Mamas into our space and created a village to so many of us in need when it comes to child rearing.

We are grateful to know so many kids now have the seed of mindfulness, meditation and compassion planted in their hearts.

Its been a journey holding the light up in our family while holding the light up of our studio we have come to the truth that in order for us to remain true to ourselves, the spirit of yoga and our community we must reach out for help.

Its been a slope to climb to in build a steady business in the heart of the pandemic and while we have had great success in many ways in spite of this current phase we are in, needless to say we are running out of resources.

With rising cost of so many things and uncertainty surrounding us, we need a big push and help from our community in order to keep our doors open.

We are doing everything in our power to keep the studio flowing but am realizing how much effort this really takes. It takes a village.

I feel halted in many ways with the heartbeat of my growing family beckoning at my attention.

Feeling pulled in many different directions is a true feeling and remember that I don’t have to go alone.

It takes a village

This time has brought us to unfathomable depths of reaching deep and doing the uncomfortable, of letting go, of moving forward in uncertainty a perfect steadfast meditation unto itself. I am grateful for this opportunity in the face of what may seem like a challenge.

We have so much love and light to give but we are seeing today the power it takes to be an open resource.

I have learned so much through this process,
With that being said - there is still time and there is hope.

There has been a huge practice of non attachment with wherever this next chapter takes us. It can be hard to ask for help but thats the heart of yoga.

We have began a few community give back campaigns to stay aligned in our mission of giving and bringing light to those that need it most while also bringing much needed momentum to the space.

As a last push before closing our doors, We also started a go fund me for one last effort to keep our current space alive. With that being said we can still be a mobile studio and even find shared spaces to still share our light. As we build up a new space in the future we gather. In the event the studio does close at this time we are still here for you.

There is hope, possibility and positivity in all the directions we can go and above all we hope to go together.

We hope to keep the spirit of this studio alive virtually if it means we do have to close our doors temporarily. As it has brought so much light to so many. This push with our community giveback campaign we can still offer yoga to those in our community through our video on demand library, through virtual yoga along with mobile privates, yoga/ spa events, and much more. We can come to you!

Its hard fathoming letting this space go and while we haven’t reached that point yet of closing the doors, we hope to keep it going no matter what direction the wind takes us.

In the spirit of giving- we are currently donating 10 vouchers to our community crisis center donated by a lovely woman in town. We are also donating 10 vouchers to Casa our community resource center for children in need donated by another. Through our Buy one gift one campaign.

With these vouchers we can bring yoga to those that need it most. We plan on being the light no matter what happens to our space. We are mobile and can come to you. Just last week we offered a special spa event of relaxation to our local school district teachers, to enjoy some time of connection and mindfulness. The joy and gratitude giving has brought is priceless. Our teachers do so much for community and it doesn’t go unseen for our yoga community.

To remain the safe space we aim to be we do need push with our community. With any gifts given, our mission is to continue to give back, we still have an impactful resource of yoga that we want to gift to you.

Please share our community give back campaigns along with the studios go fund me to help keep the spirit of our studio alive. No matter how you gift this season we will also be giving back to our local community.

We understand that this takes alot but even just sharing can be an invaluable gift with little investment.

Any financial investments will be given a gift of an intro private yoga session, a mobile yoga spa event at your place of choice and or access to our video on demand library, “Yoga House TV”.

We sincerely love all of you from the bottom of our hearts and consider you family!

We love you guys
All the deepest gratitude,

Yoga House
