At the ripe old age of 66 I was diagnosed with cancer. I had to close my Chiropractic clinic virtually overnight after 39 years of serving my communities health needs. I starting with aggressive chemotherapy immediately. The primary cancer was of the colon but after a PET scan the more serious finding of stage 4 liver cancer was discovered. My income stopped immediately and over the last several months my medicare has covered only a small part of my medical expenses. I have also fallen behind with my mortgage payments to maintain my home. My assets have been drained and I am now in danger of being put into forclosure by Bank of America and mounting medical expenses. My family and some close friends have helped but their assistance is limited. I fully intend to survive the treatment and return to serving my communities health needs or at least persue teaching if I cannot practice.
