Hurricane Ian Flood Relief

Hi there my name is Ciara Blount and I am the daughter of Dan and Jennifer Mongosa. Our family lives in Edgewater, Florida and on Wednesday 9/28/2022 Hurricane Ian finally hit east coast Florida . Thursday morning my father woke up and stepped out of bed right into several inches of water. Within a couple hours the flood water inside his house was over two feet. They and the rest of his area unfortunately did not have Flood insurance due to not being in a flood zone and never flooding before. Their house as well as the rest of Florida Shores will be a complete gut job. Their belongings and mementos throughout life are a 90% loss….the things that made their house a home are now gone. I am raising funds for them so that some of the intensive repair, replacement of appliances and remodeling costs can be eased due to everything being out of pocket.
