Ava’s Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Ava is our sweet, spunky little two year old that will steal your heart the moment you meet her. She is a friend to every person she meets and has the most contagious smile. You can’t help but feel joy when she is around.
Ava was born with a CHD. We found out at 20 weeks gestation that she has a right aortic arch along with a vascular ring. This vascular ring tightens around her heart causing her swallowing and breathing to be a little more difficult at times. It affects the trachea and causes a persistent cough along with other issues, including eating and swallowing. We have been monitoring her heart for the last two years and we were given the surprising news that Ava does in fact need to undergo a heart surgery to correct this issue.
Her surgery will be about a 2 hour long procedure with a night in the CCU/ICU and followed with several nights in the a regular hospital room. They will make an incision and go in through her side/back and clip that vein/vascular ring and that will then loosen up the tightness and hold that it has that is causing these issues in her day ti day life. We are hopeful that after this surgery she will be able to fully eat anything and have an easier time in her day to day life with natural body functions. The recovery time looks like 4-6 weeks and after it’s all said and done her cardiologist expects for her to have a “perfect heart”
My husband, Ava’s daddy, is our only provider and income as I stay home with Ava, but has unfortunately been out of work for 4 months now due to the lack of work at his company and we are having troubles him finding a new job. With this sudden and unexpected news, any donations help, and prayers are greatly appreciated.
We know and trust that God has this and will provide in every manner. May it be emotionally to help our nerves to financially to help with the surgery. In the end, God is in control.
Thank you for reading this far. As always, we love you and appreciate your prayers and any help.
**All money raised will go to medical bills from Ava’s procedure and any additional bills from missing work as well as gas coverage for the trips to and from the hospital for the procedure, before the procedure, and after the procedure.**
