Animal Shelter near Athgarvan village in County Kildare opened in 2014. The shelter provides a temporary home for dogs in the care of the KWWSPCA while they are awaiting adoption. Members of the public can visit the dogs at the shelter by appointment only, Monday to Saturday. They also sometimes have dogs in foster homes who can be visited by appointment with the fosterer. 
We have rescued our lovely dog Ben from them and we are forever grateful for him. Some of you met Ben as he comes running with me and Carl.
