Running So Others Can Walk
Donation protected
Twenty-five years ago this May, my brother Brian was in a car accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury. He has taught me the definition of being strong, patient, courageous and determined. Quite simply, he is my hero, "a person who is admired or idealized for courage and outstanding achievements."
On May 21, I will be running the Brooklyn Half Marathon for a cause that is very near to my heart, The Spinal Cord Injury Project.
I am running in honor of Brian and the two million people in the U.S that are living with a spinal cord injury. I am running so I can see Brian walk.
For those of you who have been on this journey with us all of these years, thank you for your continued support and love.
For those just joining us on our journey, stay with us. We are getting so close to the day we have been waiting for. This story is worth seeing through.
With your support, our dream these last 25 years is within arms reach. Every dollar raised will go to The Spinal Cord Injury Project for research and ongoing trials. The money raised will be sent to SCIP on 6/1.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
