Keller Williams Support for Zachary Waxman

A member of our Keller Williams family needs help…and we are looking to support a special children’s Foundation as well!
BACKGROUND:
At the end of May, Paula Waxman was awoken early morning by a feeling that something was wrong with her son, Zach. She ran into his room to find her son having a seizure. With the help of 9-1-1, Paula and Zach’s father, Alan, were able to stabilize Zach until help came to transport him to the hospital, where he suffered another seizure.
Zach regained consciousness and spent a couple weeks in the hospital being monitored and undergoing a battery of tests. He is suffering from short and long-term memory loss. None of the tests in the hospital have been conclusive though the doctors think this may have been caused by his auto-immune system. Zach was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (NF) when he was a young child, however, for the moment, nothing is conclusive as to whether that condition may have lead to his seizures.
Zach has recently been released from the hospital and returned home where he continues to recover, slowly. Zack graduated with his MBA in 2020 and also secured a new job this past fall, all in the middle of COVID. He is expected to return to work soon, however, due to the seizures, he is not permitted to drive for at least 6 months.
FUNDRAISING PURPOSE:
The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money to assist Zach to return to and continue to work. Zach will have to pay for the help of a driving service to bring him to and from his work 20 minutes from home, every day. No matter the amount collected, a portion of the proceeds…and certainly any amount exceeding the cost of transportation…will be donated to the Children’s Tumor Foundation, whose mission is to drive research, expand knowledge, and advance care for the neurofibromatosis (NF) community. Zach and his family are strong supporters of this wonderful charitable Foundation.
Zach is inspiring and strong in character and will. He has met and has overcome many challenges throughout his life. Though these seizures happened just a short time ago, Zach is already showing daily improvement and will be back full-strength in no time! We are hoping that friends, family and others will show their support by helping Zach get back to work while he is on his road to full recovery!

I am a Realtor with the Keller Williams Coral Springs office, serve on the Agent Leadership Council (ALC) Co-Chairing the Culture and Community Service Committee, and presently serve as a Founding Member and Director for our 501(c)(3) charity, Keller Williams Coral Springs Cares Foundation, Inc.
Our charitable Foundation was incorporated with the explicit purpose of, among other things, supporting charitable, educational and community outreach activities. The intended use of the funds collected in this campaign will be used to support the activities described above. Our Foundation has a Board of Directors that oversees the proper disbursement of funds. The Board will consult with any professionals, beneficiaries and/or other persons, as necessary, to ensure that funds are distributed appropriately and for their intended purpose.
