Pam Hoffman's Brain Cancer Battle

Donation protected

Pam Hoffman is an entrepreneur who has devoted her life to helping others achieve their fitness goals.  The population Pam serves varies from weight loss to weight gain, improving sports performance, normalizing blood profiles and vital signs, pre/post gastric bypass consultation, and competitive powerlifting/bodybuilding.  In 2006 she opened a local business, Total Nutrition Shop, where she was able to further connect with her customers and be an integral part of their fitness journey.  Her passion to help others is supported by an impressive academic and professional sports resume.  Pam has never been one to brag or tout her accomplishments, so I get the pleasure of doing that in order to provide a snapshot of her achievements and insight into her determined mindset. Pam has a BA in Applied technology and business management, as well as associates in Dietetics and applied science/Culinary Arts.  In 2013, Pam was named "Athlete of the Year" for powerlifting by NASA (Natural Athlete Strength Association).  Pam was selected for this award not just mathematically due to having the highest lifting total, but for her involvement in the organization, ethics, and integrity during competitions.  The year prior, she received a 2nd runner up award for "Lifter of the year" in Powersports Masters division from NASA.  In addition to these prestigious titles Pam has over 25 awards in 3 years for women’s bench press and Ironman powerlifting events.  She has also participated and received awards in road races, biathlons, and duathalons.  As you can see Pam isn’t what most would consider a “normal woman”, and I expect her preparation for beating cancer to follow the same tireless work ethic and fortitude she has shown throughout her life.

Ok now that you know a little about Pam, lets fast-forward to January 2015.  She began experiencing seizures, and was admitted to the hospital.  Upon further review she needed emergency brain surgery to remove a large tumor.  Pathology reports returned with the diagnoses Glioblastoma, an aggressive type of malignant brain cancer. If you research this condition, you will see what she is facing isn’t going to be easy and Pam needs us! She has touched my life over the years with her constant display of selflessness, and willingness to lend a helping hand or give valuable advice. I know I am not alone here, and it’s OUR TURN TO RETURN THE FAVOR.  If you would like to be part of Pam’s recovery team I ask you to please donate anything you can-even if it is only a few dollars. Together we can reduce the medical expense burden and show Pam the gratitude and support she deserves!
