Lutheran Church of South Sudan
Donation protected
The Lutheran Church of South Sudan (LCSS) ministers to a quarter of a million refugees in Ethiopia who were displaced as a result of the horrific violence in December 2013 when 20K innocent and unarmed civilians were killed in a targeted massacre. Due to the violence, the LCSS has set up temporary headquarters in Gambella Ethiopia to be near the refugees. Pastor Jordan Long, President of the Lutheran Church of South Sudan, spends much of his time traveling between the refugee camps mostly made up of women and children and visiting the newly established Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Gambella Ethiopia.
The goal of this Go Fund Me page is to provide money to purchase a motorcycle for Pastor Long to use in traveling between his congregations and seminary rather than traveling by foot. Distance between camps is approximately 5 miles one way.
Through your donation you can help ensure that the Lutheran Church of South Sudan and Pastor Jordan can continue to share God's love and message of hope in the midst of darkness and despair.
