Kween Cardoza

Hi, my name is Loretta, and I am fundraising for my sister, Cassandra Cardoza. Let me introduce you to 13-year-old Kween Cardoza. Kween (pronounced Queen) was the eldest of five children and the only girl of her siblings.

She and her four younger brothers were adopted by their step-grandmother, Cassandra Cardoza.

Kween was hospitalized on October 22, 2022. Her heart, lungs, kidney and liver began to decline steadily.

The doctor diagnosed her with Cardiomyopathy, possibly a complication from Covid~19, which Kween had several months ago. Kween’s family faced a most difficult, heart-wrenching time. How could this happen to such a young and vibrant child? Although her family prayed daily for a miracle, Kween continued to deteriorate. Her heartbeat for the last time the day after Thanksgiving, November 25, 2022. Her grandmother Cassandra was by her bedside, where

she remained throughout this heartbreaking ordeal. Kween would have celebrated her 14th birthday on December 14th.
