Kwanza Fights the Biggest Bully - Cancer

Donation protected
Our friend Kwanza started feeling ill which eventually caused him to admit himself to the emergency room near his home just a few days before Thanksgiving. After many tests, on the morning of Thanksgiving they gave him the shocking news… stage 4 small intestinal adenocarcinoma. To the rest of us, it’s the big “C “. Kwanza was discharged from the hospital a few days after Thanksgiving only to end up back in and out a few times. Looking for a second opinion, he set an appointment at the University of Miami Hospital. Unfortunately, he felt ill and was admitted to the emergency room at UM Hospital the day before his appointment.  The results of second opinion closely matched the first, so onward with treatment plans. Kwanza is emotionally and physically drained, in & out of the hospital and unable to work at this time. Basic daily tasks leave him feeling overwhelmed. The idea of upcoming financial responsibilities is looming over his head. It’s going to take some time for the numbness of the situation to fade. The stress he is under is unreal. Most of all, the love he has for his children and their future has him really concerned as you would imagine.

The doctors are still looking at the possibility of surgery to remove some of the tumor. The doctors also say this is treatable, so the chemo treatments begin. Your donations will help allow Kwanza to focus on the necessary tasks of treatment and improving his overall well-being.

Most of us know Kwanza “Kayaking” Henderson wouldn’t have asked for help. He is a fighter that stands up on his own. Like the titles in his YouTube kayak fishing videos that often refer to conquering an “Offshore/Inshore Bully”, aka: a hard-fighting fish. He is persistent in this fight against the biggest bully of them all.

………….
Kwanza wants to send a heartfelt thank you to all of YOU….his loving family, friends and the kayak fishing community for your support during this difficult time.
