Kwam Omar Griffin was a brother, a son, an uncle, and a wonderful friend. He always was among the first people to step up and be there, wherever "there" needed to be for his family, friends and loved ones. The loss we all feel for a life stopped way too soon, only 3 months shy of his 46th birthday, is immense.

Among Omar's many roles in life, his position as uncle to Amira & Michaelangelo was something that was of the utmost importance and he was driven to support them both in their educational and life endeavors. Amira Gabrielle Griffin is a junior at Wesleyan College in Macon, Ga. She is currently in her second year of the nursing program with the goal of becoming an anesthesiologist nurse.

Michelangelo Maksym Griffin is 10 years old in the 4th grade. He is a competing member of the national Polish Junior Olympic team for trampoline gymnastics. He also competes in local track and field events and has been an avid break dancer since the age of four.

In an effort to support his family and navigate the expenses tied to his passing and the people in his life whom he prioritized so intently, we have established this GoFundMe. Monies raised will go directly to the family to cover the funeral & Celebration of Life expenses. All funds beyond that will be divided towards educational funds for his niece and nephew, an effort we know would have his full support.
