“ImbrianiNonMollare” (don’t give up) is the story of a promise. it is a dream of two brothers who travel the world embraced.
The PROMISE is the ambition to spread the history of my brother around the world.
The DREAM is to travel around the world with a small bus proudly showing the image of Carmelo associated with the iconic Keith Haring. Two icons bonded by the same fraternal message that, on the road, will tell the good part that came out from this sad story. Working overtime to create humanitarian projects in the world’s most unfortunate countries, leaving on each project the effigy of Carmelo.
“ImbrianiNonMollare” is also about friendship: two brothers who “travel the world” thanks to friends who bring with them those two images and show them throughout their journeys

My name is Gianpaolo Imbriani, I am 34 years old.
My brother Carmelo meant the world to me and I am dedicating this journey to his remembrance.
Carmello was a professional soccer player for Napoli SSCC, Seria A. He was well liked and a great teammate.
Carmelo Imbriani (10 February 1976 – 15 February 2013) was an Italian footballer and former coach of Benevento in Lega Pro Prima Divisione.

It represents the story of Carmelo Imbriani
An ex-football player dead at the age of 37.
The reason why I chose 7777 as a goal was because this was his number as a player. Although this may not be the exact amount that I may need to fulfill my quest. I felt that it was a way to convey my purpose in this part of my life.
His story joined different groups of football fans from the North towards down South, East & West of Italy.
This is a story that shows the other side of football.
That which is clean, sympathetic and able to create a real social awareness.
That at least for once, different fans & different teams fighting for one championship. Putting aside their intolerance came together giving a voice to one slogan.

My brother never won any trophies or any awards for his athleticism. But he was a great person who loved everyone around him. Family, friends, teammates and fans. I want to represent his name around the world to show everyone that we as people do not tolerate racism.

During his treatment, people from all over the world sent there get well wishes to Carmelo and they were well received but came to a halt when my brother could no longer fight and lost the battle to leukaemia.

I wanted to take this a step further. I had a friend of mine construct a website to honor his name. Forgetting all colours, team colours, rivalries. That we as human beings can come together as one for a greater purpose. I started as one on my journey but have encountered thousands that share the same goal. Love one another.

This map represents the people who have shown support in honor of my brother.
I am using the Keith Haring artwork because this image came to my mind days before he died representing us together travelling the world. Unfortunately he is gone but I will continue on the promise that I made to him. I plan to travel all around the globe to honor him and the fight racism in sports and in life. I want to tell his story wherever I go.
The money that I am asking for humbly is for tee shirts to give out to people I meet in different countries and share experiences, take pictures. My brother is no longer here with us, but at least me and my family can have something positive come out of this. I have dedicated the last 2 years of my life to this cause and plan to continue to go forward on this journey as long and whatever it takes. The money would also be for airfare and lodging. You can see my updates on the website as I travel to different destinations.
I leave my life behind and continue along with his memory spreading love, honor and respect. The kind which I had for my brother Carmelo.
