Help Rosie fight mucosal melanoma

Donation protected
Our friend and colleague Rosetta Black was recently diagnosed with mucosal melanoma.  The cancer is located in her mouth.  Mucosal melanoma is an aggressive and rare cancer.  While the extent of her cancer is still being determined, it is clear that she will have to undergo major surgery to remove the tumor.  Her upper palate and several teeth will be extracted, and she will be on a liquid diet for months.  A reconstructive prosthetic will eventually be put into place.  She will also receive chemotherapy treatments daily for a month, and then three times a week for a year.  Surgery, the month of daily treatments, and follow up care will require her to travel to Cleveland, which is about an hour drive from her home.  Rosie has the love and support of her fiance, Jim, and of her family and friends, but as you can imagine her treatment will put an enormous financial strain on their family.  Please consider donating to help Rosie cover the costs of travel back and forth to Cleveland, time off work Jim will need to help her obtain treatment, and the myriad of unforeseeable things that could help her be a little more comfortable during this difficult battle.
