Summer in Paris with Cru

I am thrilled to announce that I will be spending 2 weeks in Paris this summer with Cru (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ). I was first asked to go with Cru more than a year ago, but my teaching schedule would not permit me to attend the summer of 2014, and was asked to keep my schedule open for the following summer (2015). Fast forward to fall of 2014, I was told that the opportunity to go to Paris in the summer of 2015 would not happen. Then a few short weeks ago I was asked if I would be able to go to Paris in May. The Lord has opened up a way for me to go and I would greatly appreciate your support - whether that is financial or prayerful support.
There are 3 Cru staff members that I will be joining along with approximately 20 Cru undergraduate students from UF and 1 UF Faculty member - that 's me! Needless to say I am beyond excited, I am ecstatic! I know that Paris is one of the most beautiful cities on earth and I also know that Parisians have recently experienced incredible tragedy and loss. I believe that this summer is the exact right time for me to be in Paris - to share Jesus and the Gospel. If you would support me, I know the Lord can and will use me.
Now, you may be wondering... what kind of support? I don't have very much to give... how much is she asking?
I was once asked by one of my students, who also attending the Summer in Paris project in 2010 that whatever you gave would be the best gift. She broke it down like this on a facebook:
"If I have 100 facebook friends and each of them gave $5 -I would have $500 dollars, if that same 100 facebook friends gave $10 -I would have $1000, and if that same 100 facebook friends gave $15 -I would have $1500.
I have approximately 1700 facebook friends, so with that same logic, if each one of you gave $1 -I would have $1700 dollars, if each one of you gave $5 -1 would have $8500 (hopefully I have done my math correctly).
As you can see it really is amazing and quite powerful when we all come together for a common goal. One of my students always says "Team Work Makes the Dream Work - Yes it does!
