Help a hero fight Cancer
Donazione protetta
Hi and thank you for taking the time to help. Dave Pytlik was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Dave has dedicated his life to ALWAYS being there to help others just as he learned from his mother Marlene and father Peter Pytlik.
There was no surprise to any of his family when Dave decided he needed to become a volunteer fireman for South Lockport. Dave loved the feeling of being there to help others in their greatest times of need. Being with the fire department alone was not enough so Dave went on to become an EMT and Paramedic. He also works for Pediatric Urgent Care as an intake specialist and he also trains people in for Action CPR LLC. as an ACLS Specialist. Dave's sons have both followed in their father's footsteps with Dave Jr. being a Lt. on the City of Lockport Police Department and a member of Niagara County SWAT and James becoming a member of the City of Lockport Fire Department.

Recently, while working at the Pediatric Urgent Care, Dave began feeling run down and just not himself. He continued working through how he was feeling until it became too much. Dave went to the Emergency Room and after many blood draws and testing they diagnosed Dave with a form of Leukemia.
Now is the time when Dave needs the help from all those who can. Dave will never quit his fight to beat cancer, but in the mean time he is no longer able to work. To receive the BEST possible care and treatment from Roswell Cancer Center it will be very expensive. The medical bills are already beginning to pile up and they will only get larger as the treatments and the time being hospitalized will only increase. The biggest expense to come will be the Bone Marrow replacement that will leave him hospitalized for 8 or more weeks.
Please take a moment and if you can spare anything it would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes even heroes need help.
