My name is Pete Rawlings and I found out about a year and a half ago that I have Stage 5 kidney disease. I have mainly kept this to immediate family until now so I could really process this and find my path. I’ve been on dialysis now for 8 months and many medications. Here recently two people I know have gotten transplants and by the end of next week I should be listed on 4 different lists. With my blood type they say I should receive a transplant fairly quick. I need to raise some money for lodging, food and medication during this time and after. I do have some paid leave that will help but this does not cover any complications or anything other than a few weeks. The first 4-6 weeks I will be staying close to the hospital for all the appointments, checkups and testing. After that there will be a lot of driving back and forth. Anything you can spare helps.
