17 years ago, our Dad was diagnosed with MS.  The news was devastating to our family but Dad never skipped a beat...literally he traded in his work boots that he used to support his wife and 6 children for over 18 years for a new set of wheels. We all gathered around and came together to support Dad but over the years as we’ve adjusted and adapted to the changes and challenges MS has brought to our lives, we’ve come to realize that we haven’t been the ones supporting him...Dad’s still been the one encouraging and lifting each and everyone of his friends and family up.  A true friend who will find you in a dark place and lead you back to the light.  A father figure to not just his own children but to many “adopted” ones as well.  A brother that always has your back even when he has you rolling on it in tears because you’re laughing so hard.  A loving husband who still looks at the love of his life like it’s the first time he saw her.  A proud man who never complains and who always has a joke for you or is ready to play one on you. 


At this point, Dad only has partial control of his right arm as MS has taken control of everything else.  After several attempts of receiving in-home care resulting in Dad being dropped to the floor, they recently applied for a ceiling lift system from the insurance company and were denied. Today we are asking our friends and family for help as Dad is in great need of a ceiling lift system; this would provide them the help they need to get him out of bed.  Please help us get our parents the equipment they need so they can have a better quality of life.  After raising 6 children and keeping up with 14 grandchildren they definitely deserve it.
