Kuzco the cat asks you to help Zach and Zelda

If you know Zach and Zelda, you know Kuzco.

Kuzco is the friendliest cat, always in the mood to cuddle, wants to be involved in everything people are doing, and hasn't met a stranger he doesn't love.

Kuzco has had a hard week- he has been in an out of the ER for a week and currently has been in for 3 days straight due to extreme inflammation as caused by his recently diagnosed lower urinary tract disease. This is common in male cats and Kuzco just loves to fit in and then exceed expectations so he has a bad case.

He is currently experiencing a recurrence and without surgical intervention the prognosis is he will likely need perineal urethrostomy surgery. This surgery has a high success rate with a less common chance of recurrence.

Our fundraising goal is to cover incurred costs from the past week with a really hard decision ahead.

Here's where we get to this gofundme- everyone is in a tight spot nowadays. With Zach's recent graduation and job prospects across his field being slim due to federal cuts to science/higher education, Zach and Zelda are working with one income.

Every pet owner at some point comes to the question of what is the cost you're willing to incur to help your buddy live their best life and we are currently struggling with that question.

There is no expectation on our behalf of anyone to give. This is our choice and our baby and everyone has their own struggles. Still, we are always open to trying anything especially if it means maybe removing some pressure and limitations from our decision-making. If you have it within your means to help us we would be greatly appreciative as it could give us more time with our kitty.
