Hi, my name is Charlene.
Last fall a friend had an unintended breeding between his girl, "Viva" La Juicy Couture and his new rescue from the streets, Georgio "Gio" Armani. The litter of 11 were born on January 26th. On March 13th we brought home pup #10. A beautiful blue baby girl. We named her Rolo La Viva, after her mom. She has been an absolute joy and is a well rounded puppy who loves people, dogs, walks, boat rides, kayaking, swimming in her life jacket and life.
On September 2nd our friend called me. He said a pup needs to be rehomed. He is in an environment where there is suspected drug use. The owner is looking to rehome him. I asked what pup. He told me pup #1, Rolo's twin brother. They are both blue and have markings that are near identical. I told him to get the pup out of there and I would talk to my husband.
My husband and I decided we would be the best environment for the pup. So we called our friend and told him we would take him.
Our friend picked up the pup on September 3rd. We received the pup on September 4th.
This quickly went from a simple rehome of a healthy 7 month old pup to a rescue. The pup as shown in the picture has a large bump on his head. Our friend was told it happened when the pup was playing with the guys other dog. There is a small wound on his right hind leg that is some type of growth and his ears are dirty and smell like yeast. He also has had no immunizations. The fact the poor pup has never been to a veterinarian is neglectful.
He loved his warm bath with 3 shampoos to get him clean. A trip to my veterinarian showed yeast and bacteria infection in both ears. He received a round of immunizations and medications for his ears. His next appointment is to neuter, growth removal on hind leg (which may need to be tested), microchip and x-rays of his head. The veterinarian agrees to our suspecting blunt force trama. His 3rd veterinarian visit will be to completely bring him up to date on his immunizations.
As this boy has settled into our home he is just so sweet. He has learned his new name Kuya Armani (named after his dad like his sister is named after mom). Kuya means big brother which is very fitting being the #1 pup of the litter. Rolo loves him so much and they are best buddies. But Kuya shows obvious signs of being in pain and I find myself wiping away his tears often. I am so angry and sad that someone did this to this beautiful young pup.
I am asking for help. Help with his veterinary bills. I know many will say I shouldn't have taken in a pup I couldn't afford. But we didn't know all his needs in advance. What I couldn't do more was to not take him. To not help him. To not love him. When he is in need of just that. A good, loving, caring, safe home. I know I can help this pup to become a happy-go-lucky boy. I just need a help with these first expenses.
Please will you help me help Rolo La Viva's twin brother, Kuya Armani.
