Five weeks ago my husband, Dave, suffered a stroke that left him with severe physical and mental deficits. Our lives as we knew them changed in an instant. Dave has always been the rock of our family, a man that has worked for the same company for 45 years and often had a second job. He was never one to ask for help. Now, for the first time we are putting our hope in our family and friends to help us. With myself being disabled and being the sole caregiver, we are just unable to make ends meet in our daily lives, not considering the medical bills that keep piling up. We are even looking into possibly moving to try and find cheaper living. The stress of all these changes has been overwhelming, but I am beyond blessed that Dave survived his stroke! We are trying our hardest and hopefully we won’t have to do this alone.
