Ich bin Robert, 21 Jahre alt und seit 3 Jahren Filmstudent in Berlin.

Seit sieben Monaten arbeite ich nun schon intensiv an den Vorproduktionen meiner Abschlussarbeit, meiner Bachelor-Produktion. Bei dieser führe ich Regie. Zusätzlich habe ich mit der Unterstützung von Drehbuchautorin Sophie McMahon das Skript geschrieben und leite die gesamte Produktion.

Dabei helfen mir tatkräftig Erica Cignarale, Edlin Jap, Selma Louise und Max Eigentler.

Die Namen der weiteren Crewmitglieder werden im Verlauf der Produktion veröffentlicht.

Worum geht es?

“White Noise” wird ein 10-15-minütiger Kurzfilm über Leistungsdruck, Prokrastination und das Verzweifeln an den eigenen Zielen.

Die Geschichte handelt von Adam, einem jungen Mann Anfang 20, der, um eine Schreibblockade zu überwinden, die zwischen ihm und dem perfekten Skript für seine Bewerbung steht, für ein Wochenende in eine einsame Hütte im Wald fährt.

Von der kreativen Blockade genervt, die wie ein unüberwindbares Hindernis zwischen ihm und seinem Traum, ein weltberühmter Theaterregisseur zu werden, steht, nutzt Adam jedoch jede mögliche Chance, um der Schreibarbeit zu entgehen. Während in der Hütte nach und nach immer mehr schief läuft, rückt die Abgabefrist immer näher…

Statistiken der SINUS Studie zeigen, dass immer mehr Jugendliche unter extremen, selbstgeschaffenen Leistungsdruck leiden. Sie zweifeln an sich selbst und ihrer Arbeit und haben Angst davor, ihre Träume nie zu erfüllen. Genau für sie steht Adam.

Ziel des Films ist es, nach erfolgreicher Produktion die Einreichung bei unterschiedlichen regionalen, nationalen und internationalen Filmfestivals sowie die anschließende Veröffentlichung auf Vimeo und YouTube.

Was passiert mit dem Geld?

Eine Filmproduktion ist immer mit großen Kosten verbunden.

Beim Dreh des Kurzfilms fallen Fahrt- und Transportkosten an, die Filmcrew braucht Verpflegung und professionelles Filmequipment muss ausgeliehen werden. Außerdem wird ein großer Teil des Budgets in die Gestaltung des Sets und die Spezialeffekte gesteckt.

Die Spendenkampagne hilft mir dabei, die auditive und visuelle Qualität des Films deutlich zu erhöhen und meine Bachelorarbeit professionell umzusetzen.

Der Realisierungszeitraum für die Produktion und die Post-Produktion ist Oktober 2024 - März 2025.

I'm Robert, 21 years old and I've been a film student in Berlin for 3 years.

For seven months now I have been working intensively on the pre-production of my final project, my Bachelor production. I am directing this one. In addition, I wrote the script with the support of screenwriter Sophie McMahon and am in charge of the entire production.

What is it about?

The story is about Adam, a young man in his early 20s, who, in order to overcome a writer's block that stands between him and the perfect script for his application, travels to a lonely cabin in the woods for a weekend.

Fed up with the creative block that stands like an insurmountable obstacle between him and his dream of becoming a world-famous theater director, Adam takes every possible chance to escape the writing process. As more and more goes wrong in the hut, the deadline draws ever closer...

Statistics from the SINUS study show that more and more young people are suffering from extreme, self-created pressure to perform. They doubt themselves and their work and are afraid of never fulfilling their dreams. This is exactly what Adam stands for.

The aim of the film is to submit it to various regional, national and international film festivals and then publish it on Vimeo and YouTube.

What happens to the money?

Film production is always associated with high costs.

Travel and transportation costs are incurred when shooting the short film, the film crew needs catering and professional film equipment has to be rented. In addition, a large part of the budget is spent on designing the set and the special effects.

The fundraising campaign helps me to significantly improve the audio and visual quality of the film and to realize my bachelor thesis professionally.
