Hello friends,

my name is Mark Bauman , a close friend of Kurt’s .

On Tuesday Nov 1 Kurt became disoriented and was taken to the hospital to get checked out .

while he was there he suffered a severe Grand Mal Seizure that left him unresponsive and on a ventilator for a period of time . He eventually woke but had to be heavily sedated and anti seizure medication.

He was transported to a hospital in Flint where he continues to be under heavy sedation and undergoing long tests with a neurologist and when that’s done he will be undergoing a lot more testing to determine the cause .

we are all praying for a full recovery but even the best case scenario he will need many months to recover and unable to work .

kurt was recently laid off for the winter and is not eligible to even apply for unemployment until mid November so he currently has no income of any kind in the meantime.

Kurt lives with his girlfriend Candy who will be tasked helping him during his recovery and their income will take a big hit for a while and there is already concern how the bills will get paid .

Kurt is a proud person and military vet and would never ask for help like this but he is always the first person there when others need help

Update : 11/6/22 after 5 days of heavy sedation, Kurt is finally off the ventilator and breathing on his own and following commands and able to give one word answers but should improve daily !
