Kurt Marsh our father was doing what he loved, bow hunting. But Monday Evening when the tree stand he was in broke, he fell 25 feet to the ground. He was able to call 911 who airlifted him to the hospital.
Since the fall the doctors have performed two surgeries due to the seriousness of his injuries to repair his fractured pelvis. The first was to stabilize his right side. The second was much more serious. They had to go into both the front and back to install a variety of screws and pins to ensure a full recovery. They also found he was having a very hard time breathing due to a very badly bruised lung and have been monitoring this closely with the assistance of oxygen.
For those of you who know Kurt know he is the hardest working person at not only his job, but also home, with friends, or any other project someone may ask for his help. He is always giving a helping hand to any and all that ask of him. He’s the type of man that if he needs something he goes out and gets it himself. He is quick to help others but slow to ask for help himself.
That is why we started this page for the man who has given everything to everyone around him and never ever expected anything in return. Up to this point, we feel God has been answering our prayers (successful surgeries), however, there is a long and hard road to recovery. He will not be able to return to work for at least 12 weeks, possibly longer. Although he works for a great company that will help some while he is disabled we all know those benefits are temporary and will run out.
We are here to ask for two things. First and most important, we are asking everyone to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. Secondly, our Mother and Father would never ask for help so we are here asking for them instead. The Goal Amount if reached would help with medical bills, time missed from work, day to day living, and any extra equipment needed during this hard time.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help immensely and will be much appreciated by our family.
