Kurt braucht dich!

Mein Name ist Kristin und ich unterstütze einen guten Freund, der mit seinem geliebten Hund Kurt gerade die Hölle durchmacht. Kurt ist ein 7-jähriger Rüde und ist an Tetanus (Wundstarrkrampf) erkrankt. Er liegt seit dem 21. Mai in der Tierklinik Ettlingen und kämpft um sein Leben. Wundstarrkrampf ist äußerst selten und Kurt muss intensivmedizinisch rund um die Uhr betreut werden. Wie lange es dauert, bis er entlassen werden kann, ist noch unklar. Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt gehen die Ärzte von mindestens 14 Tagen aus.

Die erste Aussage war, dass es ca. 5000-10000 Euro kosten wird. Am Tag darauf wurde Michael am Telefon von der Tierklinik geraten, eine Spendenaktion ins Leben zu rufen, da die Kosten auf 20.000-30.000 Euro anwachsen können.

Heute, an Tag 3 belaufen sich die Kosten auf 5100 €. Nach dem Wochenende werden wir an Tag 7 bei 7500 € stehen. Jeder weitere intensivmedizinische Tag (mit Sonde und Katheter) kostet ca. 1000€.

Die Sorgen um Kurt sind riesig, doch auch die finanziellen Sorgen sind erdrückend. Kurt aufgeben ist keine Option, doch ohne eure Hilfe ist es unmöglich, die Kosten zu stemmen.

Bitte helft Michael und Kurt! Sobald eine intensive Betreuung zu Hause realistisch und medizinisch möglich ist, wird Kurt die Klinik verlassen können. Bis dahin ist jeder Tag, den Kurt in der Klinik verbringt wichtig für seine schnelle und vollständige Genesung.

Jeder noch so kleine Beitrag lässt die Sorgen etwas kleiner werden und verschafft Kurt die bestmögliche Versorgung.

Update 26.5. Tag 6 in der Klinik:

Kurt ist heute das erste Mal für wenige Sekunden aufgestanden und kann sich selbst in Bauchlage bringen. Die Muskelkrämpfe werden weniger. Es geht bergauf Kostenstand heute sind wir bei 8400€.

My name is Kristin and I´m supporting a good friend who is currently going through hell with his beloved dog, Kurt. Kurt is a 7-year-old male and has tetanus (lockjaw). He´s been in the Etllingen Animal Clinic since May 21, fighting for his life. Lockjaw is extremly rare, and Kurt needs round-the-clock intensive care. How long it will take until he can be discharged is still unclear. At this point, the doctors expect it to be at least 14 days.

The initial statement was that it would cost approximately 5,000-10,000 euros. The next day, Michael was advised by the animal clinic on the phone to start a fundraising campaign, as the costs could rise to 20,000-30,000 euros.

The worries about Kurt are enormous, but the financial concerns are also overwhelming. Giving up on Kurt is not an option, but without your help, it is impossible to cover the costs.

Please help Michael and Kurt! As soon as intensive care at home is realistic and medically possible, Kurt will be able to leave the hospital. Until then, every day Kurt spends in the hospital is important for his quick and complete recovery.
