KUROK Surreal Short Film Project by Erin Celine

Welcome to KUROK, a short film in development centralized around surreal themes and interpretive takes on the entertainment industry, PTSD, and Ego death. Our story witnesses Eman, a ghostly figure at odds with the film crew tasked with getting something "entertaining" from Eman. Essentially a Salvador Dali painting in film format.

Inspired by Waiting for Godot, KUROK is the aesthetic child of Fallout and any given Ghibli film. If creepy gas masks, meta and sans-dialogue storytelling has piqued your interest, consider helping us in our ambitious endeavors!

 

Participants in backing this project have gifts waiting for you!

• $20 participants receive a die-cut sticker of the 'Director' Logo seen in this project's profile picture.
• $40 participants receive a digital copy of the short film and all lower tier gifts.
• $60 participants receive die-cut stickers of all the characters from KUROK, a personalized note, and all lower tier gifts.
• $80 participants receive a special thank-you in the credits of the final film and all lower tier gifts.
• $140+ participants receive a small prop from set and all lower tier gifts!

 

All backings earned for this project will go directly to feeding the crew on-set, camera equipment, props and art department, and COVID-19 safety protocols. This is a student film, meaning we are working for no monetary profit from GoFundMe support. All funds go directly into production for this short film. Production will take place on September 18th, 2021, so until then we will be working endlessly to make all the necessary props and assemble all the gear we need.

Our skeleton crew is comprised of Arizona State University Film and Media Production majors that have worked on countless projects together throughout the college experience.
