I have decided to do the 4x4x48 challenge that David Goggins started a few years back on behalf of a refugee family that has been displaced from their home in Ukraine after the Russia Invasion in February 2022.

The Kurilova family have been living in my home town for a year. They came here with their 3 young children after the bombing started in their home town of Mariupol, Ukraine. When they left their home they only took a few things before they started their journey to the Romanian boarder. God miraculously helped them to arrive in Sacramento. They cannot return to their home because it was bombed, their hometown destroyed and Ukraine is still under siege. They arrived in Sacramento with nothing and have been taken in by our good friends the Zacharia family. They have been supported by local churches and families and have started the long road to recovery.

God has provided in so many ways in the last 12 months. Many of their family members have also been able to escape. There are many organizations in Sacramento that have helped them and thousands of others to establish themselves in this country.

I am trying to raise a little money for them to buy summer clothes for their three kids who have all grown a lot this past year. They are also trying to set aside money for their first and last months rent when they move out of the Zacharia home.

I will begin the challenge on April 28th and finish on April 30th. Anyone who wants to join me in Folsom for part of this or the entire event is more than welcome. If you live out of town you can do this virtually on your own as well. Thank you for your time and God bless.
