Egún Mojuba, praise be our Ancestors
It's really difficult for me to come here and ask for money, especially when it's for myself, and for such a big transformation in my life. But if there's one thing I learned as a trans non-binary person is that the community will always be there for those who seek it.
Was thanks to the ones able to donate and share that I could say goodbye to my grandma and stay with my auntie for a few weeks.
And now, I'm hoping that Community can once more help me
Hi, I'm Kurama (They/Them), and this is my Transition Fund.
A bit about who I am: I'm a first gen immigrant Afro-Brazilian, Trans Non-Binary person. I'm a podcast producer and host. I love to express myself through writing and audio.
Being trans is one of the biggest joys in my life, for it was the moment I finally became myself. However, transitioning is an unpaved and very long road full of holes, and obstacles to overcome.
Though I'm working hard, it seems that it is never hard enough. The constant attack on everything became too strong of a blow in my mental and physical health.
Once forced into detransition, I was reduced to a shell of a person and that state of existence scares me more than death or the trauma imposed shame I feel when I seek help within my own community. Nothing today scares me more than the constant dread of being trapped in a body that doesn't belong to me.
So I made this gofund.me and all the donations will go to the things I need to stay alive, to live, to fight and to resist.
Thank you so much for reading all this, for your donations and support
Aṣẹ and love to y’all,
