My name is Maria Andrews as many of you know I am the victim of a recent wallet theft case here on Kauai occurring at Kapaa Big Save On Sunday Jan. 4, 2026. I made a purchase at the self check out and accidentally left my wallet on the counter when a woman behind me proceeded to the check out register and decided to pick up my wallet which included my ID's, CC, and unfortunately my monthly rent money. A KPD report has been filed and I am hoping for the recovery of my funds and personal items. I am a single elderly kupuna living on a fixed income struggling every day to get by like everyone else in this community. To have this done to myself or anyone for this matter is a very unfortunate situation and I am humbly asking for your kokua. Any amount big or small is greatly appreciated.
