KunveXs Car Crisis: a plea for assistance

On March 18th, my car suffered a catastrophic failure. From what I have been told by experts and family, the nature of the failure (slipped rod bearing) for this kind of engine makes it essentially unrepairable. My choices are a brand new engine, or finding a new car.

This entire situation has put my life to a sketching halt. It has put a tremendous amount of stress on myself and my partner. It has made getting to work an ordeal, and already caused me to have to do things like cancel important doctors appointments. It's forced me to use my partners car, a vehicle that also has quite a bit of wear on it, more then it has been for the last few years, making us wary of it's future as well.

The long term effects of this event could result in things such as me no longer being able to do my duties on the club most of you know me for, from either having to find a new job (mine is a 20 minute drive) or even having to sell my VR and/or PC in order to afford a vehicle. This has had far more impact on me then I had anticipated, and I fear it will get worse with time.

I'm asking for help, a choice I desperately did not want to do, but one I have too. The stress on my partner alone is enough reason. I ask for your help in assisting me in either purchasing a new engine, or possibly a new use car entirely. It hurts me to ask the people who have already given me so much in terms of love and attention for the last four years for anything, but I have rapidly run out of options.

I've set the fundraising goal at 4000 as new engines for my car go for 2500-3000, and I know there will a plethora of other expenses along the way. Failing that, even used cars in my area rarely go for less then that.
