Kunsang Choling Nunnery - Temple Completion

I don't even know how to begin to describe this project, but here goes!

I spent 3 weeks volunteering at the Kunsang Choling Nunnery, teaching English to Buddhist Nuns aged 5-25. It was a truly profound and humbling experience. The nuns are such beautiful souls - so giving, loving and accepting of everyone and everything that comes their way.

The lack of running water at various and frequent intervals during the day, does not seem to dampen their spirits. They embrace any new experience that comes their way - including the learning of the Nutbush and Cotton Eye Joe dances under my instruction!!

I have set up this project to assist in raising funds for them to complete their beautiful Sangdhok Palree Temple. While the white exterior may look majestic and wonderful to us, it is not their end goal - they dream of having it tiled and painted in bright colours.

And that's going to take a significant amount of money. The funds raised here will contribute in a very small way, but as the Principal of this nunnery, Khenpo, told me, it is many small contributions that will add up to completing the whole project.

My goal is ambitious, but I'm really hoping that you will find it in your heart to donate generously to this worthwhile project that would mean so much to these beautiful people.
