Hi, my name is Jessica and I have started this gofundme page for our sweet boy who was recently diagnosed with stage 5 lymphoma. I have had Kujo since he was 6 weeks old and he has been my ride or die ever since. He has always been my fearless protector, the best toy destroyer, the quickest crumb catcher, and the stealer of all the best blankets. He has gotten me through some of the toughest parts of my life. To say he is my soul dog is an understatement. He is also deeply loved by his sister, our other dog, Maci. Kujo and Maci have been together since I brought him home 10 years ago. They are closely bonded and she has been a mess every time he’s not right by her side. Maci, being the older one, has always looked after him and does not know how to be in the house without him.

Hearing “this looks like cancer” when he was only supposed to be going in for routine vaccines was heartbreaking. We have been processing the news and trying to come to terms with the next steps. Right now the cancer is in his lymph nodes and spleen. His best option for treatment is chemotherapy along with oral medication. He will need to have 4 rounds of chemo with each round lasting 4 weeks with a 1 week break in between cycles. Dr. April, Dr. Archer, and the entire team at Clayton Animal Hospital have been absolutely amazing to us for years. They know Kujo and Maci and have always treated them just like their own pets. I know he is in the absolute best hands with them.

Kujo has a long road ahead of him but we want to give him the best fighting chance we can. He is strong and we know he can beat this.
