Gwen’s Transition Fund

Hi! I’m Gwen (she/her) and in the last two years I have finally sought out the gender-affirming care I’ve needed for so long. It’s incredible how much the depression and anxiety I’ve always struggled with have been alleviated in that time, and the comfort I feel in my body and my emotional alignment now just can’t be put into words.

Even being privileged enough to have a job that provides me with decent insurance, the limits of what gender-affirming care options are actually covered by insurance are creating a barrier for me. I know sometimes people include specifics about electrolysis, bottom surgery, FFS, etc. in these kinds of fundraisers, but at this point in time I am not comfortable getting that personal. Even with insurance, I’ve already had one medical procedure that came with a big out-of-pocket expense and, if everything comes together as I hope, I’ll have another soon. So as I try to pay one bill and still continue saving, I could really use some financial support and would greatly appreciate anything you care to give. Even a little bit can make big dent in the cost of my prescriptions and appointments.

Transition was the hardest, but the best choice I’ve ever made and I am filled with the deepest gratitude for any and all assistance that comes my way. Thank you!
