My name is Paula.

I’m reaching out to ask for help for my sweet boy, Milo — my 8-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who has been my constant companion through life’s ups and downs since he was a puppy.

Recently, Milo was diagnosed with a luxating patella — a painful knee condition that makes it hard for him to walk or even stand comfortably. The medication he is on now are not strong enough to uphold his pain. The vet told me that surgery is the only option to fix it and give him back his ability to move without pain. The cost of the procedure is roughly $3,000 which is including help with medication and supplies he may need after surgery. It is more than I can manage right now due to financial struggles.

It breaks my heart to see Milo, who’s always been full of energy and love, struggle to do the simple things he used to enjoy — like going for walks, playing fetch, or greeting me at the door with his happy little wiggle. He’s truly my best friend and family.
