Hi beautiful fam!
Life has a way of humbling us even in the midst of restoration.
Our beloved space holder, community auntie, and elder-in-training, Hannah Gray-Chambers traveled to Joshua Tree to celebrate her solar return last week to be held by the desert. Yet on the way home, the road had other plans. Her car broke down and was deemed unsafe to drive. Her faithful Kia Soul, the vessel that has carried her through years of showing up for this community, is no longer able to carry her forward.
There is something poetic and painful about a caretaker being caught off guard. Hannah pours herself out so consistently that it can be easy to forget she is also subject to the unexpected, in need of support just like the rest of us. Now, it's our turn to be the vessel.
We're coming together to help Hannah get back on the road literally. A reliable car isn't a luxury for her; it's how she moves through the world and continues the work she does for all of us.
Our dream is to raise $12,000–$20,000 to get her into something solid and dependable. But if we can come together to reach $5,000–$6,000, Hannah will have a meaningful down payment and a real foundation to build from.
Every contribution, large or small, moves her closer to stable ground. If she has ever held space for you, shown up for you, or made you feel seen. this is a beautiful moment to reflect that love back. Give what you can. Share widely. Let us hold her as she has held us.
