Emergency Relief for Afghanistan Earthquake Survivors
On 31 August 2025, a powerful 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan, devastating villages in Nangarhar, Laghman, and Kunar provinces. More than 800 people have tragically lost their lives and thousands have been injured. Many more remain missing and unaccounted for. Homes built of mud and stone have collapsed, entire families have been displaced, and survivors are left without food, clean water, or shelter. With Afghanistan being a country already in severe poverty and instability, the effects of the earthquake are especially devastating, with limited ability to rebuild and support those affected.
The Afghanistan and Central Asian Association (ACAA) is launching this urgent appeal to support those affected. With decades of experience supporting refugee and vulnerable communities, ACAA is committed to ensuring that aid reaches those who need it most — especially women, children, and families facing the greatest risks in the aftermath of this disaster.
How your donation will help.
Every contribution will go directly towards:
- Emergency food parcels and clean drinking water
- Medical assistance and vital supplies for the injured
- Temporary shelter and blankets for displaced families
- Mental health and trauma support, especially for children
