Shiloh's Top Surgery Fund!

Hello! My name is Shiloh, and I'm a young trans man raising money for my top surgery in Australia.

As a lot of you probably already know, this surgery (bilateral mastectomy, or top surgery) is essential to change, better, and even save my life. I have battled with gender dysphoria since puberty, with the most significant factor being dysphoria around my chest.

I am currently struggling to manage senior school on top of work and am finding it impossible to save enough for the surgery on my own. This is why I'm starting this fundraiser.

I've been on testosterone for seven months now, and words can't describe how much it has improved my life. Unfortunately, I am still struggling with severe chest dysphoria, which leads me to bind every day. This causes me a lot of pain, restricts my breathing, and isn't sustainable long-term, but I am unable to leave the house without it.

I have a consultation with Dr. Steve Merten in June, and hope to have surgery by the end of the year. Unfortunately, the total cost adds up to around $17,000, which is beyond what my family and I can afford.

Here is a simplified breakdown of the costs:

Raising this money just isn't possible for my family. They wish they could help financially, but they don’t have the means to contribute significantly.
