Starting around the end of September, my older brother, Eduardo, was experiencing some bad pains on his back, shoulders and neck, he was only being provided with pain meds and morphine. On September 29, 2018 doctors wanted to discharge him, until my mother noticed he was short of breath, they did an x-ray and noticed he had pneumonia, they informed him they would have to immediately sedate him and ventilate him, he spent 4 days at the same hospital till they transported him to central Hermann Memorial via helicopter to get ECMO (life support).
Fast forward about 21 days later when they slowly started to stop sedation, he woke up, his muscles have deteriorated and he needs help to do most things like going to the bathroom.

  On November 19, 2018 he was discharged just in time for Thanksgiving, unfortunately with a sinus infection. Mostly every night he would come to the ER with severe sinus pain from the pressure. Both of his lymph nodes on his neck were swelling and not going down so we brought him back to the hospital and they admitted him, he started to have severe back pains and muscle pains, they took another X-ray and noticed his liver and spleen were abnormally bigger, they doctors told us it might be lymphoma (cancer) or something else but we will have to wait and find out.

  We don’t usually ask for money because it makes us feel embarrassed, but anything helps especially since he did not have health insurance and since mom is not working in order to take care of my brother, our whole family thanks for your support and prayers
