Medical Mission to Haiti

Donation protected
As a nurse practitioner, I go to Haiti ever January since the earth quake to provide free open aire clinics in the area of north east Haiti.  Our services are free as are medications and other supplies.

I need money to sponsor 13 supply duffle bags I take with. I have had to pay up to $150 per bag. So far I have 3 sponsors for a bag each. Any additional funds are used to purchases Xrays, medications we don't have, for food for the orphanges, pay translators and transportation in Haiti.

I leave January 15th to meet two other nurses in Miami and fly to Haiti on January 16th, 2016.

This will be my 7th trip. I wish you could come and see the needs and experience the joys we bring. Seeing children relieved of abcesses, scars reduced, hungry tummies fed, first aid kits sent out with families who walk 5 miles to just get to pottable water & market, a child breath easier with a battery operated nebulaizer with medication to take home, shoes on tiny feet, something to wrap a newborn in besides her/his mommie's dress with the gift of a baby layette after birth, saniatry supplies post partum, adult incontinent pads for the thrown away elders in a limited care center, nurses who get new stethescopes and pens who no longer have to share them shift to shift, the gifts of motels toiletries for families and the orphans, crutches that are small enough for a child's use, and the list  of joys goes on. We can't take these  supplies if we don't have the money to transport them.

Hait needs a wise, caring, educated next generation to pull it's self up. I, with many others are working to provide for a "hand up, not a hand out!"

Places I goes are on Internet: Danita's Children (in (Ouanaminthe), Nord Est Lutheran Mission (NEHM) = Lambs of God Orphanage ( in Ounamanithe) and Foortprints of the Son (in Terrie Rouge). Besides these, we see children in Hope for Life,  an orphanage that struggles daily to stay a float. Bon Samaritan is Ouanminthe's "nursing home" which is help at.

We support the healthcare workers at the government hospital with needed supplies when we can. We also deliver supplies and gifts to Institute Univers' clinics & staff members also.

The opportunity to provide medical supplies & services, food,  and the touch of caring is essential if we are going to improve lives on this neighboring island only 50 miles from Cuba and 90 air minutes from our US southern shores.

Children really do die of illness and hunger only minutes from our homes.

I would be very grateful for every dollar anyone gives. Every year is a fight to get the donations bags there. WIll you help?
