We are asking for donations for our brother Vertiss Muhammad & sis Marlina Muhammad. Vertiss's wife, Marlina is battling cancer. and she's Not doing to good. Marlina, was sent home from the hospital under Hospice care. Vertiss & Marlina moved to Chicago from Philly in 2009 to help thier eldest daughter bounce back after thier eldest daughter's husband was killed. Sister Marlina was dealing with symptoms of cancer in 2010 and was diagnosed on New Year's Eve of 2011. Because her time on this earth is very limited, it's important for her to see & be around thier 3 daughters & 7 grandchildren. Because of The suffering,struggle, pain and her possible early departure from the Earth, your contribution is greatly & truly appreciated. This will help the quality & comfortability of her life for the remaining time with us. Vertiss & Marlina sacrificed much for the rise and upliftment of our people. They pushed really hard in the struggle of changing people lives for the bettter. Marlina gave women spiritual strength and encouragement. Marlina and Vertiss were facilitators of youth mentoring programs in many schools in the Philadelphia school district consisted of Teaching our youth character development, cleanliness,hygene, self respect and respect for others. Marlina and Vertiss have helped to change the lives of many students and youth in the Chicago public schools also before she became ill. Tragic life change!
Vertiss felt that it wasn't a good idea to let Marlina know what the doctors had told him about her condition and that the doctors have given up, Because her knowing could effect her more emotionally and cause her to leave much sooner. MARLINA is in great pain every day. The hospital sent her home under Hospice care. Vertiss is the primary care giver. And it's been very challenging for him to juggle his job and caring for his wife. And caring for his wife has become his number one job. Because Marlina time might be short, We are asking everyone to give from your heart, to help these last days to be comfortable for her.
