My mom has had trouble with her feet for years. However, she has also been uninsured for years. She is waiting for Disability insurance and the insurance through my dad's employer is not helping. Since she has insurance, she does not qualify for ObamaCare or other assistance.

My mom suffers from neuropathy in both feet and a degenerative condition known as Charcot in her right foot. This condition causes chronic pain and deformation of her foot. (http://www.foothealthfacts.org/footankleinfo/charcot-foot.htm)

The doctor wants to put her in a special boot in an effort to prevent amputation. But this device is very expensive. We are concerned that waiting for her Disability insurance to become effective may cost her the foot.

My mom is a very proud woman and does not know that I am doing this but she is such a giving person and would give anyone the shirt off her back. So, I am asking for whatever you can give to help us save Mom's foot. Thank you.
