30 Hours for Beirut

All things considered,The Ballroom Blitz has decided to transform its monthly 5 hour show on Radio Alhara to a lengthier and more inclusive program with the objective of raising donations for a transparent peer to peer relief fund for Beirut.
August 4th saw a blast that destroyed Beirut and shook Lebanon to its core. This incident is sadly familiar to all Lebanese, however its grandeur is incomparable to any of the damages and losses incurred in previous years. With corruption and political unrest mongering in our country, we are uncertain whether Lebanon will get back on its feet. In the absence of government and empathy from our elected officials, we hope to show resilience and courage in the next months and try to rebuild, re-envision and help one another in the most sincere and straightforward way.
This month, we chose to send the earnings to Haven for Artists . An “Unapologetic platform at the intersection of art and activism”, their recent work has gone to provide food, reconstruct windows and houses, and provide shelter. We hope their immediate, undiscriminating and uninterrupted efforts to help have not gone unnoticed.
